Did you think PokerStars was finished awarding $1 million Spin & Go jackpots this year? (To be fair, we actually thought it was...)
Well, it wasn't.
This morning, a $100 Spin & Go wound itself all the way to a $1.2 million prize pool and made Australia's GrindHeaps the 13th PokerStars Spin & Go millionaire of the year. It was just after 7pm in Australia when the big one went off for a jackpot.
Just 33 hands later, GrindHeaps--a man with a cabbage as his avatar--was a millionaire.

EnglishGirl9 finished in third place for $100,000. Ireland's Gavin O'Rourke placed second for the same amount.
And here's the really fun thing: O'Rourke finished up the Spin & Go in time to...wait for it...take the elevator downstairs and resume playing the EPT Prague Main Event on Day 4. The $100,000 he won is worth more than all the prizes he could win in this Main Event unless he makes the final table.
If you have not yet familiarized yourself with the Spin & Go phenomenon, they are ridiculously simple. Each three-max Hyper Turbo tournament features 500-chip starting stacks. Each tournament has a randomly drawn prize pool that will award between two and 10,000 times your buy-in.
Including today's big win, eight people have won the $1 million prizes in Spin & Go's since the beginning of October:
•On 14 December, 'GrindHeaps' from Australia won $1 million from a $100 tournament.
•On 21 November, 'Koovoon' from Canada won $1 million from a $100 tournament in 9 minutes, and 38 seconds.
•On 28 October, 'ifipushud325' from Australia won $1 million from a $5 tournament.
•On 26 October, 'handbt1' from Germany won $1 million from a $5 tournament.
•On 26 October, 'barrakuuda4' from Estonia won $1 million from a $100 tournament.
•On 25 October, 'prophethicks' from England won $1 million from a $5 tournament.
•On 22 October, 'wrawras' from Brazil won $1 million from a $100 tournament.
•On 21 October, 'Samara Lúcio' from Brazil won $1 million from a $5 tournament.
Congratulations once again again to GrindHeaps! Cabbage rolls for everybody!
