2016 Native Strong Comedy Slam to benefit the Notah Begay III Foundation

The Native Strong Comedy Slam is back during this year's National Indian Gaming Association Tradeshow & Convention (NIGA). Tickets are on sale for this special event, produced by Raving Consulting, benefiting their charitable partner, the Notah Begay III Foundation.

Three incredibly talented Native American comedians kickoff this year's event: Howie Miller, Larry Omaha and Bahiyyih Mudd. Festivities start at 8:30 PM, with hosted cigars and cocktails on the Gila River Casino Lone Butte patio with a meet and greet with the comics. The comedy show takes place from 10-11:30 PM. Event organizers are providing free round-trip bus transportation from the downtown Phoenix Convention area at 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm. Sorry, tickets will not be sold at the door.

Individual tickets are $150 each and can be purchased online through the event sponsor Etix.  Those companies that buy a table of 10 for the Comedy Slam will receive recognition as a sponsor. Please contact Christine Faria at 775-329-7864 or via email at chris@ravingconsulting.com for more information on corporate sponsorships.

Special thanks to our sponsors to date: 7 Cedars Casino, AGEM, Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino, Casino Journal/Slot Management & Marketing, Etix, Gary Platt Manufacturing, Gila River Gaming Enterprises, GT Advertising, Houston Productions, Mark-it Smart and Wilkin Marketing.

“The gaming industry is a very powerful resource and with the support of several gaming casinos and suppliers, we’ve been able to raise over $60,000, since committing to NB3F as our charitable partner. This event is a terrific way for folks who are gathered during the National Indian Gaming Association Tradeshow & Convention (NIGA) to network with other gaming insiders while supporting a very worthy cause,” shared Dennis Conrad, president and chief strategist of Raving Consulting Company. “Why NB3F? Because 1 out of 2 Native American children born since 2000 will develop type 2 diabetes in their lifetime. Together we are raising needed funds. Together we are making a difference,” Conrad added.

Last year was the first Native Strong Comedy Slam, also held during the NIGA tradeshow in San Diego, April 1, 2015. Please contact chris@ravingconsulting.com if you have any questions or if you are interested corporate sponsorship.
