Casino tycoon Steve Wynn said he's actively occupied with the campaign to bring the Raiders National Football League (NFL) franchise to Las Vegas.
Last month it was announced that from next year a countrywide Hockey League (NHL) team becomes the primary major league to play within the Nevada gambling resort.
For a few years the foremost sports leagues, including the NFL and NHL, were against their teams playing in a city through which sports betting is legal because of fears over integrity. However, with Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis having been in discussions with Las Vegas a couple of relocation from California, the NFL has signalled that it might gladly put a team there if the stadium deal is right.
Nine sites at the moment are under consideration, including the golf course land behind Wynn’s Wynn Las Vegas Resort. Wynn told the TMZ news website that he's actively working to assist with the hassle of attracting the Raiders.
