Fabrizio Piva wins IPT Sanremo and €121,000

Fabrizio Piva yesterday won IPT Sanremo for €121,000 after beating a field of 245 players. Piva beat Frenchman Ryad Belabdelouahab heads-up but not before the pair had struck a deal which saw Belabdelouahab win €89,600.

Belabdelouahab had moved all-in with [ac][4c] on a [Qc][Jd][9c][Kh][9d] board but was called down by [Ad][Qd] to give Piva the winner's trophy and lion's share of the money.

The next stop of the Italian Poker Tour will be in Nova Gorica 22-27 August 2013 and will feature an accumulator tournament that allow players who make it through Day 1A to also buy into Day 1B and/or Day 1C. Any and all chips will be pooled into one single Day 2 starting stack. IPT Nova Gorica carries a smaller €700 buy-in so you could buy into all three days for a similar amount to the regular €2,200 IPT buy-in. Check the IPT site for dates and satellite details by clicking here.
