New gaming executive highlights

» AMERICAN VENDING SALES

American Vending Sales (AVS) promoted Jeff Yoder to the position of vice president/general manager. He joined the company in 2006 as GM and has overseen all aspects of operations.

Yoder has also had a leading role in the gaming division at AVS by heading up gaming compliance initiatives and acting as liaison to the Illinois Gaming Board.

Prior to joining AVS, Yoder spent 28 years in the printing industry, first with North American Printing Ink and then with the Flint Group, most recently as a director of information services.

»GAMING LABRATORIES INTERNATIONAL

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has expanded its technical compliance team with the addition of Mark Roy as manager of technical compliance.

Roy joins GLI with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the gaming industry. Roy will be responsible for providing overall direction and leadership for all activities in his department.

He began his career as technical product compliance administrator/interim product compliance manager at Shuffle Master. He then moved on to product support manager-product compliance at Aristocrat Technologies. Most recently, Roy transitioned to Interblock, where he managed daily operations for global technical product compliance.

»GOLDEN ENTERTAINMENT

Golden Entertainment announced the restructuring of its executive management team as a result of the recent merger between Golden Gaming and Lakes Entertainment.

Blake L. Sartini will serve as chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Golden Entertainment. Prior to the closing of the merger, Sartini served as the president and chief executive officer of Sartini Gaming from its formation in January 2012, and was the founder and chief executive officer of Golden Gaming, LLC, which he founded in 2001. Matthew Flandermeyer will serve as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Golden Entertainment. From October 2007 until the closing of the merger, Flandermeyer served as the chief financial officer for Golden Gaming.

Stephen A. Arcana has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer of Golden Entertainment. From August 2003 until the closing of the merger, he served as the chief operating officer for Golden Gaming. Prior to 2003, Arcana held several executive positions with Station Casinos.

Blake L. Sartini II has been named senior vice president of restricted gaming for Golden Entertainment. Prior to the merger, Sartini was vice president of operations for Golden Route Operations. His new position adds the responsibility of overseeing the company’s 48 taverns in Nevada, in addition to the distributed gaming operation.

Jeremy Jenson will serve as vice president and general manager of the Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino, Gold Town Casino and Lakeside Casino & RV Park, all in Pahrump, Nev. Previously, Jenson served as general manager and pit boss for the Pahrump Nugget, a Golden Gaming casino.

Skylar Dice has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Rocky Gap Casino in Maryland. He is responsible for the overall operations of the resort and ensuring the continued employment of its more than 450 local team members. Skylar has more than 20 years of gaming experience.

»INTERBLOCK

Luxury gaming manufacturer Interblock has named Tom Raffertythe company’s new global general counsel. Rafferty brings a wealth of legal and intellectual property experience to Interblock. Throughout his career, Rafferty has keenly focused on the areas of intellectual property counseling and strategic initiatives to support enterprise growth.

Most recently he served as deputy general counsel, corporate assets at Scientific Games. Previously, he served as vice president and chief IP counsel at Vantiv, a leading provider of payment processing strategies and advanced technology solutions for businesses and financial institutions.

»NANOLUMENS

F.A. (Fran) Dramis was appointed by NanoLumens to serve as chairman of the board of the rapidly growing and expanding company. Dramis is CEO of F. Dramis LLC, a technology consulting and investment firm.

In addition to serving as chairman of the board of NanoLumens, Dramis currently serves on the private company board of Catavolt, and is on the advisory boards of Virima, Voyager Capital, kwantera, and we&co. Dramis is also the co-founder of Urjanet, an energy data management firm, and is a limited partner in Seraph, a super angel investing group.

Previously, he served on the private boards of RealOps Inc., US Oncology (chair of technology committee) as well as on the public boards of WebMethods, Inc., Avocent Corporation, Ditech Networks and Netezzza.
