Madison Poker site To near Next Month
According to isthmus.com, Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison indicated that it's going to close its eight-table electronic poker site on Nov. 15.
The poker site have been open for four years.
Electronic poker tables don't involve physical cards, chips or dealers. A touch-screen system is used to facilitate the game.
According to the report, Wisconsin was looking to shut the room down, saying that
it violated a gaming compact between the tribe and the state.

U.S. District Court Judge Barbara Crabb agreed in June and ordered the room’s removal, however the tribe appealed a month later…The [closure] announcement comes two months after two local players asked a Dane County judge to rule whether poker is definitely legal in Wisconsin. The state currently forbids playing poker for money outside of a couple of dozen tribal-run casinos. However the players argue the sport relies more on skill than luck and therefore skirts a state statute about what constitutes a “bet.”
Crabb concurred with the state’s Department of Justice’s assertion that PokerPro, the video poker game, was a category III card game, that is forbidden under the terms of the gambling compact with the Southeast Side casino. Churchill Downs Starts Adding Employees For Online Gambling

Churchill Downs is already the location of probably the most prestigious horse race within the world, the Kentucky Derby. Now the parent company that owns the famed horse track, Churchill Downs Inc., is preparing to go into a market that may be suddenly saturated with participants.
Churchill Downs announced this week that they've gained approval from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority on $1 million in tax benefits by hiring 50 new employees. The precise job description of those new employees was not revealed, but many believe they know what Churchill Downs is preparing for.
"Online gambling is coming to the U.S. in a large way," said analyst Steven Ryan. "Whether the government regulates the industry, or whether regulation comes in the course of the Kentucky Legislature, Internet gambling could be in Kentucky sooner as opposed to later, and Churchill Downs desires to be ready when that happens."
The company did announce that the brand new employees could be coping with a technology based job. The figures regarding how much these employees will make were estimated at $165,000 annually. Churchill Downs did acknowledge that they were associated with online gambling.
The move towards providing online poker began for Churchill Downs back in early 2012 when the corporate acquired Bluff Media. Bluff runs an internet poker site, in addition to some of the largest and most successful poker magazines within the US. Bluff has already been approved for a web based gaming license in Nevada, where online gambling was accepted by lawmakers.
With New Jersey also regulating online casinos earlier this year, analysts now believe the door was opened for the U.S. to become the biggest online gambling market on the earth. Dozens of businesses have submitted applications to function online casinos in Nevada. New Jersey and Nevada both hope to have fully operational online casinos by the tip of the year.

A Department of Justice ruling back in December of 2011, clarified the 1961 Wire Act, signaling that only sports betting was illegal under the law. Sammy Huang holds all of the aces in Canberra

Brett Chalhoub was equally unlucky and when David Gorr was eliminated with a king-high flush against Khiem Nguyen's full house, our final table line up was set within 70 minutes of play.
Khiem Nguyen maintained the chip lead and was always a perilous force at the final table. James Broom entered because the short stack but was relentless in his attack as he endured a rollercoaster ride that might give the weak heart palpitations. Broom needed to come from behind on several all-in clashes including surviving with king-ten against Andrew Watson's ace-queen, after which king-queen against George Graziani's dominant ace-queen.
It was the latter hand that left Graziani crippled and ended in our first elimination of the general table. Graziani was all in with [ac][6h] against Tristan Bain's [qh][qc] and Tony Kambouroglou's [kh][kc] with the Toothpick taking the pot to land an early double knockout blow.
Andrew Watson lost a race with [ah][qc] against Khiem Nguyen's pocket sevens to be eliminated in seventh place, before a card-dead Luke Edwards couldn't survive with [qc][jd] against Leigh Warne's [ks][5c] to go away in sixth.
While the collection of players were quickly decreasing, Sammy Huang's stack was just getting bigger and bigger, as his overbetting style was playing havoc with the small ball approach of Khiem Nguyen and James Broom. Huang picking up pocket aces with some regularity was also helping the cause, as Nguyen was showing visible signs of frustration.
Leigh Warne was next to move went Toothpick Tony awoke with another big pair when his [qs][qh] proved too strong for Warne's [ah][qc] to depart us four-handed.

EPT11 London: Within the waiting line

Internet Casino Bill Adjusted to Favor Certain Competitors

Historic Atlantic City Casino Given to Lenders
Resorts Atlantic City, notable for being the primary modern legal casino outside Nevada, was released by its owners to lenders in a deal approved by regulators yesterday. Riccardo Lacchinelli takes IPT Sanremo crown
Italian player Riccardo Lacchinelli defeated a field of 392 players in Sanremo, to win the most recent leg of the Italian Poker Tour, collecting a primary prize of €70,500 from a prize pool that totalled €380,240.
It was the second one IPT final table of Lacchinelli's career, after he finished in ninth-place on the IPT Grand Final of Saint Vincent last season.
Riccardo LacchinelliLacchinelli is likely one of the most renowned and feared player within the Italian Poker scene with a resume that incorporates 31st place on the EPT San Remo 2011 (buy-in of €5,300) for a prize of €22,500; second place on the IPT San Remo 2010 (€2,200 buy-in) for a payout of €110,000; first place in a €330 side event during EPT San Remo in 2010, for a prize of €20,000; 143rd place on the PCA in 2009 ($ 10,000 buy-in) for a payout of €12,500; third place on the IPT San Remo 2008 (€2,200 buy-in) for a €30,000 prize; 45th place at EPT Prague in 2008 (€5,300 buy-in) for a payout of €8,300.
He proved himself to be probably the most skilled player on the final table in Sanremo, and that proved enough to capture the trophy.
Lacchinelli's heads-up opponent was French player Michel Segui who took second place for €59,500.
The final hand featured Segui going all-in with 3♠Q♣, called by Lacchinelli with 3♦J♦.The following board gave the Lacchinelli the celebrated trophy of IPT winner and primary prize:

Mini IPT
The fifth stop of the Mini IPT Season 6 registered a complete of 534 entries for a €155,394 combined prize pool. Italian player Saimon Omar Pisano took home the €30,000 first prize and trophy after a protracted and challenging heads-up against fellow Italian player Daniele Nazzaro who took home €18,500.
"Last Man Standing"
Fiodor Martino Lavagetto, from Italy, is the winner of the "Last Man standing" promotion by Neteller. He is taking home a €1,000 cheque.
IPT next stop may be in Nova Gorica 23-27 October 2014. This will likely be the sixth stop of Season 6 and the third consecutive with a €1,100 buy-in and a freeze-out format. The "Mini IPT" will again be incorporated in to the principle festival schedule instead of happening beforehand with a €300 + €30 Single Re-entry with three start days.
