The 2014 Pittsburgh Poker Open $1,100 main event on the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, PA was won by probably the most living legends of Poker, Phil Hellmuth. The 13-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and 1989 World Champion earned $54,000 for winning the 45th tournament title of his career.
The “Poker Brat” defeated David Baker heads-up for the win. The general table was a surprisingly star-studded affair, with Matt Glantz joining Hellmuth and Baker within the top four.
Earlier last week Hellmuth joined fellow Poker Hall of Famer Daniel Negreanu in doing commentary on ESPN’s coverage of the 2014 WSOP main event final table,
According to a post Hellmuth made on Twitter following the development this tournament wasn’t the one thing he won lat week.
With this latest win Hellmuth’s career tournament earnings grew to $17,778,251. He remains the seventh-highest earning player in live poker tournament history.
