Connecticut Tribes Still On the lookout for Casino LocationNO Deposit bonus $43

The operators of Connecticut’s two tribal casinos have reopened the appliance process for a location for the state’s third Las Vegas-style casino, in step with a report from Masslive.com.

East Hartford, Hartford and Windsor Locks are currently within the mix for the partnership between Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, but more municipalities could vie for a casino within the coming weeks, the report said. The speculation is to have the casino compete with MGM’s upcoming Springfield, Mass. casino. The brand new deadline for applications is Oct. 15.

The Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes began taking a look at locations late last year. Assuming it gets the fairway light, the brand new casino might not be on tribal land.

MGM Springfield is slated to open in late 2018, and it would cost Connecticut thousands of jobs. The state’s two Indian casinos had revenue decline 6.1 percent in 2013 to $1.7 billion. Gaming revenue was $3.2 billion in 2006.

Mohegan Sun continues to be working toward opening a $5 billion casino in South Korea in 2020.
