Excitement is within the air on the Swinomish Casino & Lodge, a long-time Anacortes favorite destination. Preparations are currently underway for the casino renovation and expansion, that allows you to provide a bigger and higher experience for Swinomish guests. The first phase of construction renovations at the Swinomish expansion, tentatively scheduled for early October, will begin once the bulldozers arrive.
The Swinomish Bingo Hall, which was a mainstay at the property for decades, would be the site of the primary phase of this major renovation and expansion. Bingo will officially close its doors to permit for brand spanking new amenities and resources for the ever-growing Swinomish Team Members. Swinomish is likely one of the largest employers in Anacortes and because the business continues to grow, the selection of team members will continue to mirror that upward growth.
Swinomish Casino Co-General Manager Jay Ellenberger is reflective and occupied with the brand new expansion project. He emphasized, “We couldn’t be more excited to announce the impending changes and additions to our Swinomish Casino & Lodge. Though Bingo have been a vital part of Swinomish history—we got our start as Swinomish Tribal Indian Bingo, opening our doors in 1985 and building countless fond memories and experiences, we're thrilled to start our next chapter, person who our Team Members and guests may help us to write.”
Following the Bingo project, amenities at the gaming floor will begin with the addition of roughly 18,000 more sq. ft. at the casino floor, including a brand new cage, player’s club and more slot machines. Dining options might be next, featuring the advance of latest and flavorsome options, designed to fulfill every taste, twenty-four hours a day.
Brock Hochsprung, casino co-general manager, emphasized “Ensuring that our guests are comfortable and remain uninterrupted during our renovation is our top priority. Every effort could be made to make this enhancement as seamless as possible as we interact to improve their Swinomish experience.”
The completion of all construction is scheduled for late 2017.
