After all of the anticipation the EPT Malta festival came to an end this weekend when Aliaksei Boika of Belarus won the principle Event on the Portomaso Casino, beating Swedish amateur Mats Karlsson in a last table wherein Karlsson, now living in Malta, looked impossible to overcome. Boika proved that wrong, and in convincing style.
Boika's win was the highlight, and you'll read Howard Swains' report on that win at the Blog. Nevertheless it was one of the big wins over the 10 days of action, that you may find details of in our festival coverage.
Next stop for the tour is Prague in December, that allows you to even be the last stop before the EPT becomes the PokerStars Championship.
That wraps up another weekend of results and news on PokerStars. As always send your questions and comments to us on Twitter: @PokerStarsBlog.
