Several sources expect George to overlook all the 2014-15 NBA season, that's a devastating prospect for the George and the Indiana Pacers, who were again considered contenders within the Eastern Conference, but with the prospective lack of George the Pacers' odds plummeted.
"After the injury news of Paul George we moved Indy from 20-1 to 35-1 to win the NBA title and from 8-1 to 15-1 to win the East," Mike Perry of Sportsbook.ag told Covers.
Geroge's absence can even have an effect on individual game lines, as he's worth about three points to the spread, dependent on the opponent, Perry added.
George suffered the gruesome lower right leg fracture during USA Basketball's intrasquad scrimmage at UNLV Friday night. He underwent surgery for an open tibia-fibula fracture later that night and is anticipated to stay in hospital for the following three days.
