Say goodbye to the FanDuel logo with the script font that helped herald the upward push of daily fantasy sports. FanDuel announced a rebrand on Monday morning, going with a brand new look and color scheme prior to the fantasy football season. It also introduced a “players bill of rights,” a suite of measures that generally align with regulations which might be being rolled out in jurisdictions around the US.
“The past year was tumultuous for this industry but FanDuel has emerged stronger than ever and we're able to lead the industry forward,” said FanDuel CEO Nigel Eccles in an announcement. “The new FanDuel brand reflects our commitment to transparency, innovation and embellishing the user experience. We're confident it's going to showcase what we need to offer to all sports fans.”
FanDuel also formally confirmed its plans to launch a fantasy platform within the UK after recently receiving its gambling license there. Finally, FanDuel also announced it'd be offering a “new season-long fantasy product” later in August.
The rebrand is an enormous change of the site’s aesthetic, although the lobby and game mechanics are largely the similar. The web site and mobile app feature a “more user-friendly layout,” FanDuel said via press release. The massive change is the logo, that is harking back to the old FanDuel font while looking a lot more modern. Also gone is the long-lasting green that has long been part of its color scheme, replaced with a mild blue.
