Protecting your game

Every business will inform you that they value integrity. And each business will say they demand their employees have integrity. At PokerStars, we insist that our customers have integrity too and we employ industry-leading techniques to make sure it. That's because have a duty to give protection to the underlying fairness of the games we deal.

Of course, the majority of poker players are fundamentally honest. But if you may have greater than 67 million registered players, with as many as 400,000 playing at a single time, there are going to be some who don't play fair. A few of these people break the principles because they do not know any better. Others achieve this willingly, cynically in an try to cheat fellow players. Others don't see the harm in cheating "the game."

We don't believe - and feature by no means - that this abuse of the sport is suitable.

PokerStars and players are at the same side here. We wish to host poker games which can be fair, honest and authentic. Players want games which are fair, honest and authentic. Consequently, PokerStars applies an enormous amount of time, resource, manpower and expertise towards keeping the games safe. In fact, around 20% of our employees fulfill roles devoted to combatting fraud, protecting the integrity of the games and ensuring compliance with regulators. We have now a dedicated Game Integrity team of greater than 50 poker specialists that analyse hands, proprietary security software, player complaints and any myriad of data that may be used to root out the cheaters.

This next video (above) from the 'Inside PokerStars' series provides a glance into our Game Integrity department and demonstrates how we try in order for PokerStars remains the safest possible place to play.
