With the glorious finale of the 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure still fresh in poker players' minds, the second one Super Tuesday of 2014 played out on Tuesday night with 531 players entering this week's installment of PokerStars' popular $1,050 no-limit hold'em weekly tourney. That meant a prize pool of $531,000 -- far more than the $300K guarantee -- and after almost 10 hours and 45 minutes it was ekziter of Belarus emerging as this week's winner to say a handsome first prize of $100,890 and a second career Super Tuesday title.

It took about five hours and QUARTER-HOUR for the sector to be whittled all the way down to 64 players and the money bubble to reach at which point TryToExploit had moved up with regards to 150,000 and into first position, well away from the chase pack who were all sitting just below 100,000. Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody was also near the highest of the primary page of the counts just throughout the top 10 with about 76,000.

A few hands passed, then Charlie "JIZOINT" Combes then became the unlucky 64th-place finisher and they would made the money.

Last week's Super Tuesday winner zen mec was a few of the first wave of min-cashers, finishing 57th for a $2,336.40 payday.

Then prior to the six-hour break, Jake Cody got curious about a hand versus fuddebuf that saw Cody calling a five-bet to head all in for his last 30-plus big blinds with 4♠4♥ and finding himself up against fuddebuf's A♦A♥. The flop came 4♣K♦A♣ to present both players sets, however the case four didn't come at the turn or river to save lots of Cody, and he was knocked out in 36th place for $2,920.50.

A little over an hour later they were all the way down to 18 with elmelogno4 and PKRisMYstar leading the way in which with both just over 280,000. It took about an hour and QUARTER-HOUR more for nine more to fall. kiwabi (18th), TryToExploit (17th), and Grizzlypower (16th) each earned $4,248. 7Be/\eC7 (15th), LR-President (14th), and Athanasios "Athanasios 9" Polychronopoulos (13th) took away $5,310 apiece. And danking11 (12th), sk2ll m0dR (11th), and Kosei "shinbunshi" Ichinose (10th) each saw $6,372 added to their PokerStars accounts.

Seat 2: elmelogno4 (Uruguay) -- 227,061
Seat 3: MORTIIIIIIII (Sweden) -- 516,618
Seat 4: PKRisMYstar (Romania) -- 232,780
Seat 5: fuddebuf (Denmark) -- 68,640
Seat 6: Andre Hansen (Ukraine) -- 138,815
Seat 7: ekziter (Belarus) -- 309,620
Seat 8: Francisco "Tomatee" Benitez (Uruguay) -- 579,568
Seat 9: Bruno chato (Brazil) -- 282,011

On the seventh hand of the overall table, the blinds were 3,200/6,400 with a 800 ante when fuddebuf raised to 12,800 from the hijack seat. It folded to ekziter who reraised to 32,442 from the button, then Bruno chato four-bet to 79,211 from the large blind. At that fuddebuf pushed all in for 157,080 total and after ekziter folded, Bruno chato called.

Bruno chato had T♠T♣ and fuddebuf A♥K♠. The flop came T♦A♣9♣, pairing fuddebuf but giving Bruno chato a collection of tens, and when the turn brought the 9♥ to enhance Bruno chato to a whole house, fuddebuf was drawing dead to complete the tournament in ninth.

It would take about 45 minutes for an additional elimination to come, in which time the blinds had increased to 4,000/8,000. A hand arose that saw the action fold around to Andre Hansen at the button who open-raised all in for 146,426 total and got one caller in ekziter within the small blind. Andre Hansen had 3♠3♣ and ekziter A♦9♦. The T♥5♣6♦ flop meant Andre Hansen's small pair was still ahead, however the A♠ fell on fourth street to place ekziter in front. The river was the K♦, and Andre Hansen was done in eighth.

It could be another 45 minutes before another knockout came, this one happening within the final hand before the 10-hour break.

The blinds were as much as 6,000/12,000 when Graftekkel raised to 24,000 from middle position. It folded to PKRisMYstar within the small blind who raised all in to 73,597. Then ekziter pushed all in excessive from the massive blind, and Graftekkel stepped aside.

PKRisMYstar had A♥7♦ and needed help against ekziter's A♠K♦, however the 6♣T♣9♦T♠4♣ didn't bring any improvement for PKRisMYstar who was out in seventh.

Shortly after play resumed, Bruno chato raised all in from the small blind for 123,330 (just over 10 big blinds) and was called by Graftekkel within the big blind. Bruno chato had A♣3♥ and Graftekkel Q♠9♠. The flop came T♠3♣J♠ then the turn brought the 2♠, completing a flush for Graftekkel and making the 5♣ river no matter, ending Bruno chato's run in sixth.

The remaining five pushed on for one more half-hour, and then ekziter occupied the highest spot with greater than 1.04 million chips with MORTIIIIIIII the closest challenger with slightly below 800,000. Then two knockouts happened on successive hands, the primary involving the 2 chip leaders.

First with the blinds at 8,000/16,000 it was ekziter raising to 32,000 from UTG, MORTIIIIIIII reraising to 92,988 from the large blind, and ekziter calling. The flop came 5♦7♥K♥, and MORTIIIIIIII led with a chance of 70,775 which ekziter called. The turn then brought the T♥ and another bet from MORTIIIIIIII, this time for 135,775. ekziter responded with an all-in push and MORTIIIIIIII called all in with the 497,136 behind.

MORTIIIIIIII: K♣T♠
ekziter: 7♦7♣

Top two pair for MORTIIIIIIII, but a collection of sevens for ekziter was better, and after the 4♦ completed the board MORTIIIIIIII was out in fifth and ekziter was up over 1.85 million.

The next hand saw elmelogno4 open-raise all in for 169,901 from the button with K♥T♥ and Francisco "Tomatee" Benitez calling with K♠Q♠ from the small blind. The board ran out 2♦5♠7♥6♣J♠, and elmelogno4 was knocked out in fourth.

Just two hands after that Graftekkel limped in from the small blind, ekziter raised all in, and Graftekkel called with the 298,996 left. Graftekkel had a few face cards with K♥J♠ but had to improve against ekziter's A♥3♥. The community cards came 3♣T♠9♠7♥T♥, ekziter's two pair were best, and Graftekkel was gone in third.

ekziter began heads-up play with a greater than 4-to-1 chip advantage with 2,166,166 versus Francisco "Tomatee" Benitez's 488,834. The pair played seven hands through which Benitez inched up over 650,000 and ekziter dipped to only over 2 million, then the general hand swiftly arrived.

The blinds were 9,000/18,000 and the hand began with Benitez completing from the button and ekziter checking the choice from the large blind. The flop came 7♣Q♣K♥, and ekziter check-called a big gamble of 20,250 from Tomatee. The turn was the 4♥ and all over again the action went check-bet-call with Benitez firing 54,270 this time.

The river was the A♣ and ekziter checked a 3rd time. Benitez bet 126,991, and when ekziter check-raised all in Benitez called with the 432,430 remaining.
