The 2014 World Championship of Online Poker hit the midpoint with a fresh batch of tournaments and over $600,000 in guaranteed prize money spread over those new events. The early tournament gave players a possibility to fireside away while having slightly short-handed fun.
Event #34 was a $320 buy-in No Limit Hold'em tournament with a 6-max format and players could re-enter as much as thrice in the event that they busted their stack while registration was open. The tournament drew 1,562 entrants with an extra 395 of them getting back within the game with their re-entry option. They combined to create a $468,600 prize pool, easily surpassing the $500,000 guarantee, and the last 204 would get a work of the action.
The format produced numerous gamble they usually were quick to get to the bubble. The sphere was within the money when mortan23 dropped out in 205th to forestall hand-for-hand action and players began hitting the rail in numbers. Naoya 'nkeyno' Kihara, Caio Pessagno, and Grzegorz 'DaWarsaw' Mikielewicz from Team PokerStars cashed within the tournament but none were around for an opportunity on the big money.
The tournament was schedule to prevent on the end of Level 30 and so they came very with regards to forming the overall table in that quantity of time. The clock was ticking down until they produced a knockout at the final hand to depart just 12 players heading into the overnight break. mcdon23 and Pedro "gusmaa" Madeira tangled it up in a pot and mcdon23 was done in 13th when his two pair A♣K♠ was no good against an entire house T♥T♦.
The hand was adequate to place Madeira in second position for the restart behind chip leader Ch33s3z0r. There has been a large gap between the highest six and bottom six players to establish a fun-packed last day, regardless of the common stack sitting on 54 big blinds.

While no members of Team PokerStars made the cut, there have been still a couple of names seeking to add to their list of accomplishments. Maderia final tabled the 2013 WCOOP Limit Hold'em 6-Max tournament, Gordon "holla@yoboy" Vayo made two WSOP final tables (both in 6-Max), Bobby "ROMDOM" Layne made the 2010 WCOOP Main Event final table plus a Sunday Million title, and SsicK OnE final tabled the WCOOP Challenge Main Event only a few months ago.
Five of the six shorter stacks were all sitting on the same table, at the side of the chip leader Ch33s3z0r, and RANNIV20 was in a position to pick up some chips early. flowstone80 was the primary player eliminated after the restart but SsicK OnE took a tricky beat to head out next. He was racing against Ch33s3z0r with A♠Q♥ versus 6♦6♠ and hit the Queen-high flop. SsicK OnE was fine at the turn but was gone at the two-out 6♣ river.
The (somewhat) equal distribution of wealth some of the last two tables meant they might relax and play without huge stacks grinding down the smaller ones. Few were in any hurry to risk their potential spot on the final table with a speculative hand, only Bagelakis23 dropped out within the next hour.
They returned from their first break of the day then were quickly at the final table bubble when Madeira and BlackMajli quickly went out with big hands. They played several short-handed orbits until leader Ch33s3z0r called a shove from RANNIV20 with flopped two pair J♦9♣ against top pair K♠J♥, the turn and river ran clean to form the general table.

rrobert333 aced, eliminated in 6th
Robert "rrobert333" Cezarescu and ERA7ER were two players looking up on the other four they usually tangled early on the final table. The chips were quickly within the middle when Cezarescu open-shoved from the button with Q♥J♥ and was called by ERA7ER within the small blind.
Cezarescu needed numerous help when ERA7ER tabled A♠A♦ and hit a small piece of the A♥K♣J♣ flop while ERA7ER flopped top set. The Q♣ turn left Cezarescu with just four outs to cut the pot but couldn't stay within the tournament when the river came 3♥, going out in 6th place for $11,715.
The hand also moved ERA7ER into contention because the remaining five stacks evened out.
ERA7ER erased, eliminated in 5th
ERA7ER's time with a pleasing stack didn't last long when he got frisky together with his 30+ big blinds shortly after the second one break. He opened for a small raise then shoved after a three-bet from Gordon "holla@yoboy" Vayo within the small blind. Vayo considered his options before correctly calling with 8♥8♠.
ERA7ER was behind with 6♠6♣ and Vayo had him covered by just 70,000. The K♥T♣2♥ flop change little and the tournament ended for ERA7ER when the board completed 4♣T♥. It was a difficult spot for German grinder but he needed to accept 5th place money.
ROMDOM done, eliminated in 4th
Former WCOOP Main Event final tablist Bobby "ROMDOM" Layne was sitting sweet until he lost a fifteen. million chip pot against leader Ch33s3z0r's runner-runner two pair with 7♦5♦. He mucked his hand to earn him the fast stack and he shoved a couple of hands later with 6♦6♥ from the massive blind after Botond "birs320" Balázs opened from under the gun.
Balázs called the bet with A♠J♠ to establish the race and he took the lead right at the A♥9♥4♣ flop. The T♦ turn left Layne with just two outs to stick alive but he missed them both at the 3♦ river to head out in 4th place for $28,116.
birs320 bows out, eliminated in 3rd
Ch33s3z0r was holding half the chips in play on the three-handed table with the opposite half equally split between Balázs and Gordon "holla@yoboy" Vayo. There has been no reason to get out of hand but Balázs got a bit of creative preflop against the leader.
Ch33s3z0r opened for a min-raise and Balázs three-bet to 185,000, a move which drew a fourth bet from Ch33s3z0r sufficiently big to place Balázs all-in. Balázs might need considered letting his hand go but ended up calling with K♠Q♥. He was dominated when Ch33s3z0rs rolled over A♣K♥ and it stayed that way at the 7♣6♠3♦ flop.
Balázs was drawing thin to stick in but no miracle made an appearance at the 5♣ turn or 6♦ to send the previous EPT final table member out in 3rd position for $42,174.
Ch33s3z0r outlasts Vayo to win Event #34
Seat 5: holla@yoboy (1,734,035 in chips) Seat 6: Ch33s3z0r (6,075,965 in chips)
Ch33s3z0r began heads up play with a pleasant lead but Vayo had quite a few chips to push around. With out a pressure from the structure, the 2 of them got comfortable for an extended grind. Neither pushed the action very hard with Ch33s3z0r not needing to risk too many chips while Vayo was looking to chip up.
The two battled it out for almost an hour, in which the rail filled up with greater than 700 viewing the overall table, but they rarely popped a pot over seven-digits. Vayo dropped further back because the match moved along and he finally took a shot to get a double.
He was dealt J♣T♦ at the button and shoved right off the bat, Ch33s3z0r called with K♦Q♦ and a possibility on the title. Vayo's two live cards connected at the K♣J♥6♦ flop but Ch33s3z0r did to boot. The 4♦ turn didn't help either player and the tournament was over with the overall 7♣ river.
Gordon "holla@yoboy" Vayo has a variety of success both live and online but was unable so as to add a WCOOP title. It was always going to be an uphill battle and he dropped out of the tournament within the runner-up spot for $57,872.
Ch33s3z0r came back to Day 2 with the lead and stayed that way through some of the action. His WCOOP victory for $77,319 is the largest of his career and he joins the host of Russian with big results.
